Jael Gadsden, is an accomplished singer/songwriter! In February, Charleston native, Jael Gadsden, was awarded "Song of the Month," by SongwriterUniverse for her song "All I Need."
In 2008, Jael won the nationwide Lincoln Spotlight Grand Champion song writing competition with the song and video for her original song "Your Season." She received a featured track on the Lincoln site and an opening spot at a 2008 tour stop for hip hop artist, Common (read media coverage). Shortly following, she opened for national recording gospel artist Marvin Sapp, rapper T-Pain, and rapper Lil Jon.
In September 2010, Jael sang "God Bless America" at the LA Dodger Game. She is set to tour in Singapore starting in December through 2011.
Prior to the contests and performances, Jael has had songs placed in major films like "Bring it on 4," and her original songs and jingles have received airplay across the country.
Other accomplishments include appearing in the feature film, "American Dreamz," appearing in a national K-Swiss television commercial, and winning the 2007 and 2008 "Think LA's Battle of the Bands" contests with the band Chiat/Riot (formed at TBWA/CHIAT/DAY).
Jael is not only a triple threat, this talent sings, writes, produces her own music, and performs with her own band.
Her first album, "The Journey," features 10 self-written songs, (3 of which she co-produced). Most recently, she finished her second album, entitled "Coming Full Circle," released on CDBaby.com and iTunes on September 28, 2010.
